Podcasts

Creating podcasts to support learning events can greatly prolong the life of their content. Turning key note speaches as well as delegate experiences in to audio content available for download has enormous benefits effectively creating a living will of good conversations and moments of collective learning that no longer “die” in the workshop or conference room.

With my skills and experience in broadcasting and facillitation I can enhance the process by helping people tell their stories and gaining their trust. I can also add vox pops and interviews that illustrate specific learning points as well as capturing delegates responses. These can be uploaded alongside the verbatim recording of plenary question and answer sessions and keynote speakers, all of which enhance the validity of the material.

An example of my work in this field was a Licencees conference on behalf of BTSR at OFCOM in march and a BTSR Freelancers evening in July at BAFTA. Here the organization required to reach an audience beyond those who could attend within the conference space. By making the debates and the keynote speeches available on a website after the event, the dispersed freelance audience were able to get an accurate flavour of the discussions held and the view points of both delegates and the organization.

I also have experience of producing professionally shot video interviews to illustrate complex themes, providing an extremely effective short cut to understanding and group engagement. The participants for the Freelancers event at BAFTA hailed from a diverse range of professions within TV, Radio and film and I produced a set of filmed interviews with BAFTA award winning industry leaders who gave their opinions on training requirements in the freelance industry. I was able to draw out their points capturing the essence of what was required from the delegates which kicked off their own group discussions. This is particularly useful within a conference where the delegates are from a wide range of backgrounds, skills and knowledge.
